ThinkCyte Secures $32 Million in Series C Round to Expand VisionSort™ Technology Globally

ThinkCyte has successfully completed its Series C funding round, securing a total of $32 million. The amount includes an additional $15 million raised in the extension round, following equity financing acquired last November. 

Japan Green Investment Corp. led the extension round for Carbon Neutrality (JICN), KIRIN-GB Fund I L.P., and SMBC Venture Capital No. 7 Investment Limited Partnership. The company also obtained a loan from Japan Finance Corporation.

The new funds will support ThinkCyte’s global expansion and the further development of its VisionSort technology. This investment round is crucial for ThinkCyte’s growth; it is expected to enable the company to advance its sorting solutions in the global market. 

The latest funding round brings ThinkCyte’s total capital raised to $91 million as it advances the global reach of its flagship product, VisionSort™. 

Since its launch in June 2023, VisionSort™ has gained traction among major biopharmaceutical companies and top academic institutions worldwide. The Series C extension, led by Japan Green Investment Corp. for Carbon Neutrality (JICN), KIRIN-GB Fund I L.P., and SMBC Venture Capital No. 7 Investment Limited Partnership, along with a loan from Japan Finance Corporation, will support the company’s production and manufacturing expansion.

The new investment will facilitate the scaling up of VisionSort™ production and accelerate ThinkCyte’s global commercial efforts. With this financial boost, the company aims to enhance its technological capabilities and extend its market presence, strengthening its role in advancing life sciences. With the new funding, ThinkCyte plans to drive progress in single-cell analysis and sorting technologies.
