Dubai AI Campus, the AI hub at the DIFC Innovation Hub, has unveiled a new partnership with Google Cloud. This collaboration is set to bolster the startup ecosystem within the Dubai AI Campus by leveraging Google Cloud’s comprehensive expertise and resources.
The collaboration is designed to support and accelerate the expansion of startups in the region. By leveraging Google Cloud’s capabilities, the Dubai AI Campus seeks to strengthen the local AI and technology landscape, providing valuable support to emerging companies in the sector.
As part of the new partnership, Google Cloud will provide mentorship to chosen startups at Dubai AI Campus and work together on programs like the Google Cloud Gen AI Startup School.
Furthermore, the Google for Startups Cloud Program will grant early-stage startups access to Google’s comprehensive resources and cutting-edge AI technologies, enabling them to make the most of Google Cloud’s offerings.
The Dubai AI Campus, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is a dedicated hub for AI and Web3 innovation. It features modern infrastructure, including R&D facilities, accelerator programs, and collaborative workspaces designed to attract, develop, and scale startups in the region. This partnership aims to enhance the Campus’s ability to support and expand the local startup ecosystem.
Mohammad Alblooshi, CEO of the DIFC Innovation Hub, highlighted the collaboration’s strategy, stating, “We are pleased to join forces with Google Cloud to create an optimal ecosystem equipped with resources to enable startups to drive innovation in AI. This partnership will bolster the Dubai AI Campus as a leading destination for startups to scale their AI capabilities and strengthen Dubai’s position as a technology hub.”
Ziad Jammal, Country Manager for Google Cloud in the UAE, emphasized the alignment of the collaboration with Dubai’s economic agenda, stating, “We are thrilled to be working with Dubai AI Campus to empower the vibrant startup ecosystem in Dubai. This collaboration supports Dubai’s goal to be the fastest, safest, and most connected city globally. By providing startups with access to Google Cloud’s cutting-edge technology and resources, we aim to accelerate their growth and drive impactful innovation.”
Jammal further noted that Google Cloud is already a major player in the generative AI space, with half of all funded generative AI startups and 70% of generative AI’ unicorns’ using its services. He emphasized that by providing startups with access to advanced technology, mentorship, and resources, Google Cloud aims to accelerate their growth and help them make a global impact.
“We believe AI has the potential to transform industries and address critical challenges, and we are excited to collaborate with Dubai AI Campus to unlock this potential in Dubai,” he added.
