@HACK was held from November 28-30 in Riyadh.  The event conducted three highly successful days of expert discussions, knowledge sharing, education and hacking competitions that have redefined the cybersecurity landscape of the region. SecuLetter participated in @HACK running a booth to display its unique solutions with Saudi Arabia partner Best IT. SecuLetter had formed a partnership agreement with cybersecurity consulting and solution provider Best IT (Best Information Technology System) to supply SecuLetter solutions in the Middle East market in April 2021. The visitors at the SecuLetter booth included government officers such as the Chairman of the SAFCSP (Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones), public institutes and many other companies operating Enterprise IT systems. Chairman of SAFCSP, Faisal Bin Saud Al-Khamisi, visited SecuLetter’s booth.

“Through the participation in the event, @HACK, we have found out the fact that the clients in Saudi Arabia and Middle East Countries are aware of the importance of the cybersecurity and there is an increase in demand for the same,” said Ms. Jang, Head of Global Business in SecuLetter.  “Especially, the visitors at the booth wanted to know more about the advanced technology used by SecuLetter. Telco and major MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) showed keen interest in the SecuLetter’s Automatized Reverse Engineering technology and gave us great feedback leading to have a technical meeting.” Ms. Jang further added.

Highlights of @HACK included a SAR 1 million (USD 266,547) hacking contest, keynote presentations from some of the biggest names in cybersecurity, participation from the leading companies in the ICT industry, and 600 hours of advanced training. SecuLetter booth was popular for university students, who attended the hackerthon event at @HACK. The students especially showed huge attention in SecuLetter’s Automatized Reverse Engineering technology. The Saudi government has support programs to train students into cybersecurity talents, and SecuLetter hopes to engage in the activity.

The conference was to specialize in connecting cybersecurity companies with students and talents. In other words, one of the most essential objectives of the conference is to embrace the region’s youth, supporting them with technical skills and experiences for digital transformation, and attract technology companies to the Saudi Arabia and Middle East Asia.
