Jakarta-based startup BintanGo, a platform facilitating content creators in monetizing their work, has recently secured $2.2 million in fresh funding, a mix of debt and equity. This round of funding has gained support from Contents Technologies, Transcend Capital Partners, and existing backers Investible and eWTP Tech Innovation Fund.
This infusion of capital takes the total funds raised by the startup to $4.8 million, as detailed in the official announcement. BintanGo’s prior funding included a pre-seed round of $500,000 conducted in June 2021, just ahead of its launch in September of the same year. This was followed by a seed round in April 2022, generating $2.1 million in funding support.
BintanGo’s operational framework centers around a platform that leverages creator-powered marketing and user-generated content. This approach contributes to fostering brand awareness and driving meaningful engagement. The company’s revenue model hinges on applying a platform fee for each transaction, determined by the specific service utilized.
The newly introduced features enable brands to showcase their products or services in real-time interactions, adding an interactive layer to marketing strategies. Furthermore, BintanGo is broadening its live commerce capabilities to encompass multiple platforms across the Indonesian landscape.
BintanGo’s CEO and co-founder, Jason Lee, expressed plans to expand the company’s services to encompass live commerce platforms. Presently, BintanGo offers content creators a suite of tools for productivity, monetization, and financial solutions to enhance their endeavors. The additional funding is expected to strengthen the startup’s efforts in providing comprehensive support to creators, tapping into the expanding landscape of digital content and commerce.

BintanGo has set its sights into a live-commerce facilitator across various platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Shopee, and YouTube. The company currently operates a network of 15 live commerce studios in Central Jakarta.
Furthermore, BintanGo is actively broadening its collaboration with Indonesia-based content creators, facilitating brands in their live commerce campaigns. The startup has built relationships with a substantial pool of over 60,000 creators through its platform, translating into remarkable outcomes for brands.
The cumulative impact of these collaborations has led to a tally of over 150 million in total reach, coupled with exceeding 15 million in total product clicks.
