Zoho Corporation, an India-based global tech firm, has formed a strategic alliance with Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s prominent agency for early-stage startups. As part of this partnership, the company will enhance its ‘Zoho for Startups’ initiative by integrating it into MYStartup Single Window platform, a unified hub designed to assist entrepreneurs at various stages of their startup journey.
Under the terms of the agreement, Zoho has committed Zoho Wallet credits to support 4,400 startups throughout Malaysia which are worth more than RM44 million. With this, Malaysia is the second ASEAN nation to participate in the program, aligning with Zoho’s global goal of providing startups with the necessary tools and resources to launch and grow their businesses.
As part of the collaboration, Zoho has pledged more than US$10 million (approximately RM44 million) in Zoho Wallet credits to support 4,400 startups across Malaysia. Each eligible startup will receive credits which will be valid for one year, enabling them to utilize Zoho’s extensive range of business solutions, tailored to meet their specific operational needs and growth goals.
Since its launch in 2017, the Zoho for Startups program has worked with more than 18,000 startups worldwide through partnerships with over 200 incubators, accelerators, and startup support organizations. The program will be available to startups within Cradle’s broad ecosystem in Malaysia, covering companies from early-stage to Series B funding.
Promotion efforts for the program will include outreach through WhatsApp groups, email campaigns, events, and social media channels to maximize visibility and engagement. Interested startups can apply for the program via the MYStartup Single Window platform at www.mystartup.gov.my to access Zoho’s suite of solutions and support their next phase of growth.
Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, Group CEO of Cradle, highlighted that startups thrive when equipped with the right tools and an enabling ecosystem. He said the collaboration with Zoho aims to give founders easy access to world-class software solutions, opening doors to global opportunities and empowering them to build with confidence.
In addition to offering wallet credits, Zoho is actively seeking opportunities to support other government-supported startup initiatives by participating as a speaker or expert at relevant events. This underscores the company’s continued dedication to nurturing a vibrant startup ecosystem in Malaysia and empowering entrepreneurs with the necessary resources and knowledge for success.
The partnership marks an important step in strengthening Malaysia’s startup environment, encouraging innovation, and backing the growth of future tech leaders. By extending its global experience to Malaysia, Zoho aims to play a key role in building a vibrant and competitive startup community.
