Taiwan’s BBTruck, a Taiwan-based startup in supply chain and logistics technology, has successfully closed its pre-Series A funding round, raising a total of $6.5 million. Oasis Venture, H2U Corp., and StarWorks Entrepreneurial Venture Capital led the round.
The new funding will support BBTruck’s global expansion efforts, particularly in North America and Southeast Asia. It will also enhance the company’s product development and talent acquisition initiatives.
Founded in 2019, the company offers a comprehensive B2B supply chain logistics platform for accurate capacity calculation and allocation. The platform addresses inefficiencies in Taiwan’s logistics sector, which often relies on manual processes and phone orders, leading to empty return trips.
BBTruck has supported over 50 international enterprises, including major server providers, renowned Japanese manufacturers, a global tire industry leader, and Taiwan’s top home delivery service. Its platform integrates vital data on truck sizes, devices, real-time orders, capacity, and addresses, enhancing transparency and efficiency in logistics management.
Steven Chou, CEO and co-founder of BBTruck, commented on the new funding, stating, “From day one, BBTruck envisions a global logistics technology ecosystem that ensures flexibility and efficiency. This investment will help us enhance our technology offerings and expand our market presence, allowing us to better serve our clients and transform the logistics industry.”
The pre-Series A funding will allow BBTruck to concentrate on three key priorities:
Expanding its presence in North America and Southeast Asia, with a focus on countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.
Enhancing its technical expertise in capacity data analysis and system integration.
Attracting and hiring top-tier talent.
The company aims to build a transparent and flexible global logistics ecosystem that optimizes supply chain management.
BBTruck offers its advanced platform to automate fleet allocation and optimize resource use. Utilizing big data analysis, the platform reduces empty truck rates by nearly 75% and enhances order placement and cargo tracking efficiency by over 40%, leading to significant cost savings for customers.
The platform features a real-time cloud data center that enables enterprises to monitor capacity, track shipments, and view routes through an intuitive interface. Its API integration allows seamless data exchange among carriers and freight companies, simplifying order placement, shipment tracking, and document retrieval, which reduces workforce costs and improves the overall logistics experience.
In line with global sustainability goals, BBTruck promotes eco-friendly logistics. The firm’s technology is certified under Taiwan’s ISO 14067 standard for product carbon footprint. It helps enterprises achieve carbon-neutral logistics by optimizing transport efficiency and reducing carbon footprints.
BBTruck is enhancing its capabilities in logistics data carbon auditing, enabling users to obtain carbon emission data for third-party logistics providers in accordance with Scope 3 of the GHG Protocol. This advancement facilitates a shift towards more sustainable practices and provides a competitive advantage in creating eco-friendly supply chains.
