Telkomsel Ventures and AppWorks have unveiled the lineup of seven startups selected to join the ninth batch of their Tinc accelerator program. These startups span across various sectors including healthcare, finance, environment, marketing, and smart home technology. Over the course of six months, they will engage in a program tailored to seamlessly integrate them into Telkomsel’s ecosystem.
The Tinc Batch #9 accelerator program, a collaboration between Telkomsel Ventures and the startup community and VC firm AppWorks, aims to support innovation among Indonesian startups. The selected companies are set to bring forward innovative solutions in the listed categories, showcasing their potential to contribute to these fields.
These startups will collaborate with Telkomsel’s business units through the six-month accelerator program to boost their growth and contribute to Indonesia’s digital economy.
Jamie Lin, chairman and partner at AppWorks, highlighted the collaborative effort, stating, “Leveraging AppWorks’ expertise and extensive network throughout Greater Southeast Asia, together with Telkomsel, we will accelerate their growth and help Telkomsel create a greater impact on Indonesia’s booming digital economy.” The selected startups were chosen from over 100 qualified applicants, showing synergies with Telkomsel’s initiatives to advance Indonesia’s digital landscape and promote sustainability.
Since its launch in 2018, the Tinc accelerator program initiated by Telkomsel has provided support to more than 40 startups, including prominent entities such as aquaculture unicorn eFishery and health tech firm Zi.Care.
The ongoing batch is scheduled to wrap up in October, featuring demo sessions in Jakarta and a subsequent session in Taiwan two months later. Throughout these events, startups will seize the chance to present their ideas to prospective investors and partners, spotlighting their innovative solutions and potential for growth.
With the initiative, Telkomsel’s goal is to support the digital transformation of Indonesia’s economy by nurturing promising startups in various critical sectors. The selected startups will closely collaborate with Telkomsel’s business units, participating in activities designed to enhance their competencies, expand their networks, and build synergies with Telkomsel. These activities include mentorship sessions, topic deep dives, and community events.
