Riiid Labs, the global arm of AI-education company Riiid, and ConnecME Education signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for an exclusive partnership in the Middle East and North Africa to deliver AI-enabled education. By integrating Riiid’s AI solutions into the ConnecME education platform, the partnership will introduce a new level of innovative instruction for students in the region.

Riiid is a leading AI EdTech start-up based in Korea, offering Santa, a mobile application for the widely utilized English proficiency exam, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC). Santa, which has been used by more than a million students in Korea and Japan, reached No. 1 in sales among education apps in the Android market after only five months. Riiid Labs, based in Silicon Valley, continues to build upon Riiid’s success in Asia, expanding its business globally. The company aims to empower global education players to rethink the traditional ways of learning by using Riiid’s AI.

“We are honored to partner with ConnecME Education on this important initiative to develop new opportunities for students through AI technology as they prepare for university and the workplace,” Riiid Labs CEO David Yi said. “With ConnecME’s knowledge and experience and close working relationship with national governments, we believe this will help drive a paradigm shift in learning and how the use of new technology-based tools can support academic success and growth.”

ConnecME Education is an international education company that provides tailored solutions for schools, universities, and government departments. With an extensive network of testing centers, ConnecME education has a long history providing cutting edge solutions across corporate, government, and education sectors.

“We are definitely impressed with the evidence and experience that Riiid’s AI team has achieved and their insightful AI expertise in the field of learning and education,” said Mohammad Shadid, CEO of ConnecME Education. “We are excited to be Riiid’s partners in our ongoing journey to bring the best products to the UAE and the wider region with the next generation of learning and assessment products.”

Riiid’s proprietary AI technology analyzes student data and content, predicts scores and user behavior, and recommends personalized study plans in real-time to help students optimize their learning potential. Santa for TOEIC has improved users’ scores by an average of 129 points out of possible 990 points after just 20 hours of study by providing targeted learning, predicting when students are most likely to lose interest, and motivating them to stay engaged.
