Dr. Poh Hui Chia is an Associate Director at Vickers Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm renowned for its early-stage investments and impactful ventures. Since joining Vickers in 2018, Dr. Chia has been a key player in establishing the firm’s Silicon Valley office and has significantly contributed to sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, particularly in the biotech and healthcare sectors. With her scientific background and extensive experience, Dr. Chia provides valuable insights to portfolio companies and helps identify promising opportunities.

Dr. Chia serves on the board of Emergex (synthetic T-cell vaccine technology) and holds observer roles on the boards of Aardvark (obesity drug company), Sisaf (RNA therapeutics), AWAK (next-generation kidney dialysis devices), and Biosplice (RNA-splicing modulatory therapeutics). She also acts as Executive Director (Asia) at Biosplice. Prior to Vickers, Dr. Chia was a scientist at the Institute of Medical Biology (IMB), A*STAR, in Singapore, focusing on inherited genetic diseases. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Stanford University.
