Their website is easy to use, and you can directly buy music and request a quote from the page. Also, we can hear the voice-over and background music demo from each page.

In an exclusive interview with AsiaTechDaily, Jatmiko says:

What motivates us are the voice-over market in Indonesia is still wide open. The trend of people involved in it has only started and was realized since 2015. The pandemic has enhanced the trend of becoming a voice-over talent. Many people have lost their jobs. One way out is to become a voice-over talent.

Such rapid development leaves many holes in this industry, such as uneven recording quality standards, voice-over talent quality, audio output quality that must be done through professional audio mastering techniques now seem to be neglected. Seeing that hole, actually, the potential to make the voice-over industry in Indonesia better is quite large.

This is why, apart from doing business in this industry, Inavoice is also responsible for providing education both for our clients or our voice-over talent.

Read on to know more about Jatmiko Kresnatama and his journey.

Please tell me about your personal background and What motivated you to get started with your company?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: Inavoice is founded by 4 Co-founder that has different skill and background. Indar Adhi Kusuma has a tech background and he works as CTO Fajar Risna Rosedra has a business background and he works as COO. Henry Yunan Lennon has a creative background, and he works as CCO. And Jatmiko Kresnatama has a Sound engineering and Business background, and he works as CEO.

What is your current main product, and can you share any previous product pivot story to the current product?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: We are just getting started, so our main product is B2B Digital Voice Over Agency and B2C Audio Marketplace. In these 2 types of businesses, we also created 2 different business models, B2B for our Digital Voice Over Agency and B2C for our Audio Marketplace.

B2B with the hope that clients will use our services, and B2C, hoping that every customer has easy access to purchase licensed songs for any digital content they produce.

What are your milestones for the next round? And what are your goals for the future?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: We’re not looking for funding, fundraising, or anything else because Inavoice is a self-funding Digital Company.

We are working on maximizing our distribution channel to increase the amount of traffic and maximize the possibility of converting through it.

Given that we are a Self Founding startup digital voice-over agency, the economic conditions that are currently unfavorable due to this pandemic have caused the bootstrapping process to run a little slower.

But that’s okay, and I hope all goes well soon.

How have you attracted users, and with what strategy have you grown your company from the start to now?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: We use a strategy to maximize SEO and run a campaign with the theme “You Deserve Better”.

For your information, apart from the pandemic, the changes to Google’s core algorithm also attacked us like a storm. Of course, we also have to adapt to new things like that. We maximize SEO with certain target keywords to get more users. And we are getting better now 🙂

We are very aware that building a company is like an infinite game, yes you know, Simon Sinek said.
We try to improve and be responsible for the people who work at our company so that they are willing to work according to their abilities. After that, we try to educate both clients and talents through the ‘you deserve better’ campaign.

By giving this added value, we hope that everyone connected to Inavoice both internally and externally will feel the same way, that they are getting better.

Which has been the best marketing software tool for the growth of your startup, and why?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: Google Adsense, Facebook ads, and Mailchimp for email marketing tools are our best tools so far. Why? It’s because we can measure everything there.

What do most startups get wrong about marketing in general?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: In my opinion, many startup companies here in Indonesia are still confused about the terms and the difference between branding and marketing.

Almost every startup here is doing branding and not maximizing marketing. Even from the start, they have not calculated the budget for marketing. That is the fact here.

How do you plan to expand globally?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: We are planning to expand globally, maybe around 2-3 years after we started.
Now we are focusing on having some voice over talents and music contributors from all around the world to achieve its needs not only in Indonesia but all around the globe.

How do you handle this COVID-19 outbreak situation for your company’s survival in the future?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: Our company was indeed founded amid a pandemic. We are also well aware that many companies are cutting their marketing budgets to have an impact on cutting budgets for voice-over production. This is what makes it very challenging for us. But on the other hand, we see that this pandemic is a natural selection process, where our voice-over service users are more segmented. Amid this pandemic, we serve many companies that have sufficient capital power to deal with this pandemic.

We also see the potential for the market to create authentic and more valuable content. Starting from the Google algorithm update at the end of last year and the many changes to the social media algorithm that emphasized added value. With this, we are increasingly aware that content creators’ awareness of using licensed music is getting higher, so we receive positive responses from both music contributors or content creators who buy music from the Inavoice Audio Marketplace platform.

Yes, a pandemic is an added challenge for startup companies, but we will survive this.

What are the top-three books or movies (TV series) that changed your life and why?

Jatmiko Kresnatama:

  • The Battle for Your Mind by Jack Trout
  • Start With Why by Simon Sinek
  • The Infinite Game by Simon Sinek

How do you keep yourself motivated every day?

I always wake up early to pray and start doing some exercise, take a shower with cold water, and list my’ target of the day’.
It always keeps me sane and focused.

What are the top three life lessons that you want your (future) sons and daughters to know?

Jatmiko Kresnatama:

  • Life is an infinite game that nobody can tell they are the best in this game. What’s the measure?
  • Dopamine detox is the best way to stay sane and productive
  • Look at Elon Musk, how smart and rich he is, yet he still wants to sleep on the couch in his office

What would you like to be remembered for?

Jatmiko Kresnatama: I really want to be remembered for helping people in the field of audio business and technology.
