Besides the mentioned investors, the funding round was also joined by Sassoon Investment Corporation, FoodXervices, and Sass Corp. However, the funding was led by Singha Ventures which is a corporate venture capital fund of Singha Corporation.
According to a study conducted jointly by Statista and The Straits Times, Grain is presently on the fifth spot on Singapore’s fastest-growing companies with thousands of people using Grain’s services every day. The client list of Grain includes Yahoo, TripAdvisor, DBS, Danone, and Oldendorff.
Grain Singapore plans to expand in other Asian cities with the funding proceeds, starting with Bangkok. They also plan to ramp up growth in Singapore. The company will be working with Singha especially for Thailand as they plan to use Singha’s widespread F&B network across the country, including distribution and logistics.
