Catcha Digital Berhad, a Malaysia-based digital media and advertising company, has announced its acquisition of a 51% stake in Nexible Solutions Sdn Bhd. The deal, valued at RM11.38 million ($2.56 million), is Catcha’s expansion into the software-as-a-service (SaaS) and artificial intelligence (AI) markets. The acquisition was made through a share sale agreement signed on November 28.
By entering the IT sector, the company aims to tap into the rapidly growing SaaS and AI industries, enhancing its offerings and diversifying its portfolio.
Nexible, a provider of B2B SaaS solutions, is known for its flagship product, Outperform, an AI-powered sales automation platform. Designed primarily for the real estate sector, Outperform helps businesses manage customer relationships and streamline lead generation.
The platform has already gained major traction, especially among tier-1 real estate developers and companies in industries such as automotive, education, and electrical appliances in Malaysia.
Over the past two years, Nexible has integrated Generative AI to enhance Outperform, transforming it from a basic CRM tool into an intelligent assistant capable of automating routine tasks, qualifying leads, and providing actionable insights for faster deal closures.
Further, Nexible plans to launch Outperform AI Agent in the first quarter of 2025, further automating the pre-sales process. The new platform will handle tasks such as engaging leads, scheduling appointments, qualifying prospects, and freeing up sales teams to focus on high-intent customers.
Nexible envisions creating a nearly autonomous sales environment that requires minimal manual input from sales teams, a goal that Catcha Digital’s support could help realize more quickly.
Patrick Grove, Chairman of Catcha Digital, said that the acquisition will enhance Nexible’s growth prospects, particularly in expanding across the ASEAN region. “Catcha’s extensive experience in scaling digital companies, especially in real estate, will be invaluable as we help Nexible scale its operations and reach a broader market,” Grove said. The partnership will also open up opportunities for cross-selling between Catcha Digital’s existing portfolio of companies, including iMedia, and Nexible’s customer base, providing added value to both parties.
With the region’s digital economy rapidly expanding, valued at approximately MYR 1 trillion ($230 billion), Catcha sees potential in leveraging SaaS and AI solutions to capture more market share.
The acquisition of Nexible also presents cross-selling opportunities for Catcha Digital, allowing the company to leverage its digital advertising solutions to expand Nexible’s sales funnel.
By integrating these solutions, Catcha can help Nexible’s customer base broaden its reach. At the same time, Nexible can offer its AI-powered CRM platform to Catcha Digital’s clients, further enhancing the sales conversion process.
Catcha Digital continues to pursue strategic acquisitions that complement its current business segments, particularly in digital media, advertising, and software. With the recent positive earnings report showing a substantial increase in net profit and revenue, Catcha Digital aims for future growth.
In the third quarter of 2024, the company recorded a net profit of RM1.23 million, more than tripling from the previous year, while its quarterly revenue surged by 55%. It has the highest net profit and record revenue since its listing on Bursa Malaysia in 2011, indicating the group’s strong financial performance.
