QAI Ventures Partners with EnterpriseSG to Boost QuantumAI Startups in Asia

QAI Ventures, a global investor focused on advanced computing and quantum technology, has opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore. It marks the firm’s entry into the region as it seeks to support early-stage innovation and expand its footprint in emerging deep-tech markets.

The Singapore office, under the leadership of Managing Director Thomas Landis, will work with Enterprise Singapore to launch new programs focused on acceleration and venture building. This effort is anchored in the nation’s strong research base, reliable intellectual property regime, and its National Quantum Strategy, supported by close to S$300 million (US$222 million) in funding.

QAI Ventures’ portfolio currently includes 27 startups across Europe and North America, with investments spanning pure quantum technologies such as computing, sensing, and communications, as well as advanced computing and QuantumAI applications in energy, finance, and life sciences. Its decision to expand into Singapore highlights the country’s growing influence as a hub for quantum innovation, backed by strong academic research, pro-innovation policies, and an active startup scene.

In Singapore, the firm plans to collaborate with universities, research centers, corporates, and startups to accelerate the path from quantum research to commercial applications. By fostering partnerships across healthcare, finance, and industrial sectors, while also drawing global founders to the city, QAI Ventures aims to build a steady pipeline of businesses ready to scale internationally.

As part of its collaboration with Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), QAI Ventures will launch two signature programs. The first is a five-month QuantumAI Accelerator, designed to scout and scale promising global startups. The second is a venture-building initiative focused on turning research and intellectual property into competitive businesses, leveraging Singapore’s strengths in innovation and technology transfer.

Both initiatives draw on QAI Ventures’ experience in Europe and North America, where its hubs in Switzerland and Canada have supported the growth of pioneering quantum startups and forged partnerships with global industry leaders. The Singapore office will replicate this model for Asia-Pacific, helping startups scale beyond local markets and connect with international investors.

Ahead of the official rollout of these programs in January 2026, QAI Ventures will host the GenQ Quantum Hackathon from October 24 to 26, 2025. The event, held in partnership with SWITCH by EnterpriseSG, will serve as an early talent-scouting platform, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, and developers to explore applications of QuantumAI.
