Skylink’s WaveOn Revolutionizes Software Development: Empowering Non-Tech Professionals with a No-Code Approach

The landscape of software development is undergoing a transformative shift with the rise of no-code tools, and Korean startup Skylink is at the forefront of this revolution. In response to Gartner’s prediction that 7 out of 10 apps released in 2024 will be developed by non-tech professionals, Skylink introduced its groundbreaking platform,  WaveOn. Launched in April 2022, WaveOn is designed to empower individuals without coding expertise, aligning with Skylink’s mission to democratize software development beyond traditional programmers.

Comprising experts from esteemed institutions like Seoul National University and Naver, Skylink received initial investment from Spring Camp VC, a subsidiary of Naver Snow. CEO Gong Wan-sik, a former software developer and AI modeling engineer at Naver, founded Skylink to address the challenges faced by startups in software development, aiming to simplify the process and prevent failures due to complexity.

WaveOn, a no-code platform at the Software as a Service (SaaS) level, allows users, including marketers, startups, and commercial entities, to create feature-rich applications without intricate coding. Its standout feature is versatility, enabling users to design anything from marketing content to complex systems like landing pages and payment interfaces. The platform’s intuitive interface removes traditional barriers to entry, making application development accessible to a broader audience.

Since its launch, Skylink has experienced remarkable growth, with a threefold increase in monthly sales compared to the previous year. The cost-effectiveness of WaveOn, emphasized by CEO Gong, positions it as an affordable alternative to outsourcing development, with the platform’s ability to host and modify sites at a reasonable additional cost.

CEO Gong envisions a future where no-code startups gain global traction, and Skylink is already targeting the North American market. The company’s participation in the Asan Voyager program, a prestigious accelerator facilitating global expansion, underscores its commitment to becoming a major player in the global tech scene. As Skylink paves the way for no-code innovation, it stands as a beacon for startups seeking accessible and efficient solutions for software development.
