ZEBOX, a global accelerator founded in 2018 by the Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, Rodolphe Saadé, has launched its Asia Pacific hub in Singapore.
With over 130 early-stage businesses in its portfolio, ZEBOX aims to connect startups and corporates to accelerate decarbonization and operational optimization in the supply chain industry.
The new hub in Singapore will address business and sustainability challenges in sectors such as supply chains, logistics, transport, and energy, in vibrant and fast-growing Asian markets.
The ZEBOX Asia Pacific hub has the support of Enterprise Singapore and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The hub will identify startups in Asia, particularly in Singapore, and match them with corporate partners to undertake co-innovation projects locally and across markets in the Asia Pacific.
The corporate partners of ZEBOX Asia Pacific include CMA CGM, Bureau Veritas Marine and Offshore, PSA unboXed, and Synergy Marine Group, among others. They aim to co-develop game-changing solutions across operational efficiency, assets optimization and decarbonization, workflow automation, and the future of work.
“With this regional presence, we’ll have the ability to unite ambitious corporate partners and connect them with our global ecosystem, thanks to Singapore’s pro-business government, local talents, and vibrant tech support system,” Gwen Salley, CEO of ZEBOX, said.
Laurent Olmeta, CEO of CMA CGM Asia Pacific, expressed his gratitude for the support from MPA and Enterprise Singapore and said, “From today, ZEBOX Asia Pacific will start initiating corporate-startup collaborations to future-proof tomorrow’s supply chain with resilience, agility and sustainability.”
eo Eng Dih, CEO of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, said that startups play a critical role in transforming the maritime sector by generating value through innovative solutions. Through working with partners, MPA aims to anchor more Marinetech startups in Singapore to develop, test, and commercialize new products and services from Singapore to benefit the global maritime community.
Singapore, home to over 4,000 startups and the regional headquarters of global enterprises, has pro-business policies, cutting-edge digital infrastructure, and a robust pipeline of skilled talents. With the launch of ZEBOX Asia Pacific, the innovative hub aims to tap into Singapore’s vibrant and fast-growing Asian markets to address business and sustainability challenges.
