Singapore-based interactive video platform Wootag has raised US$1.7 million in a bridge funding round led by Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund along with participation from existing investors Seeds Capital and Wavemaker Partners.
With the fresh funding, Wootag aims to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific and improve its AI capabilities for audience engagement and in-video interaction. The company will also invest in its recent launch of Creative Automation that enables marketers to present product collections in the field of film.
Wootag’s interactive video and insight platform help companies identify and use visual content, such as static screens or video, to enhance audience branding experiences and convert them to buyers.
People can use actionable and customizable ‘tags’ to interact in different places in the video without leaving the video ad. These include sign-ups, purchases, participating in polls, video product catalogs, receiving promotions, viewing store locations, and making reservations.
