Vietnam’s BlokID Secures $1.25M for Blockchain Privacy Solutions in Digital Advertising

Vietnamese startup BlokID, specializing in blockchain-driven privacy protection solutions, recently secured $1.25 million in a seed funding round. The financing, led by Ascend Vietnam Ventures and AppWorks, is expected to boost their product development and expand market reach. 

BlokID plans to launch its services by the second quarter of 2024, with a focus on empowering users and safeguarding their information through features like Google Analytics plug-ins and Financial Identity.

Established in July 2023, BlokID specializes in blockchain-driven security services tailored for the digital advertising sector. Its platform empowers brands and agencies to authenticate and verify their assets using advanced technology.

BlokID’s innovative solutions address three critical challenges in digital advertising: ad attribution verification, privacy insurance leveraging blockchain timestamps, and enhanced transparency through GA4 integration. Led by CEO Michael Hahn, the company aims to transform the industry by providing advertisers with reliable, transparent, and privacy-centric advertising solutions.

Due to escalating concerns over privacy breaches and ensuing legal battles, brands are increasingly aware of the repercussions and financial burdens associated with compromised data integrity. BlokID addresses the issue by offering a streamlined and cost-effective remedy to preemptively thwart such breaches.

By promptly alerting clients to any unauthorized access by third parties, BlokID delivers control and security, enabling brands and agencies to trust and credibility with their clientele. With this, brands can redirect their focus to their core objectives, driving impactful outcomes unburdened by apprehensions about data vulnerabilities.

BlokID utilizes insights from Hahn’s extensive tenure at Oracle and Valassis, along with his endeavors, such as Vatic, a generative AI platform. His vision is rooted in helping both users and enterprises with tools to navigate the digital landscape securely, capitalizing on the demand for heightened data control and privacy safeguards. 

AppWorks Principal Jun Wakabayashi expressed their views on BlokID’s vision in blockchain innovations to enhance transparency in the attribution domain. Additionally, Wakabayashi highlighted BlokID’s role in addressing the concerns surrounding privacy protection in the digital space and the need for such solutions in both businesses and their clientele.
