Singapore-based BOM BOM, a startup specializing in precision pet nutrition, has raised S$3.5 million (US$2.7 million) in a Series Pre-A funding round. The investment was led by Blueprint Ventures, a seed-stage consumer venture capital firm.

The fresh capital will support BOM BOM in scaling its operations by automating production, strengthening its nutrigenomics research, and enhancing its AI-driven nutrition platform. Built on thousands of pet health profiles, the platform delivers personalized, portioned meals for cats and dogs, aiming to set a new standard in tailored pet care.

The platform draws on a range of inputs — including a pet’s weight, age, activity level, breed, allergies, and existing health conditions — to create meal plans that comply with NRC standards. These diets are designed to evolve as the pet’s needs change, offering a degree of personalization that traditional pet food companies are unable to match.

The company plans to roll out these initiatives in Singapore and South Korea, accelerating its growth across Asia. BOM BOM believes that demand for precision nutrition is growing among pet owners who increasingly view pet health with the same care and attention as human wellness.

“Our technology shapes the future of pet nutrition and enables pet owners to make better food choices,” said Jason Wang, Founder and CEO of BOM BOM. We’re not just making ultra-fresh, standardised meals. Our algorithms and automated production system enable us to craft and deliver truly customised diets at scale. This level of precision nutrition powered by data, engineering, and food science doesn’t exist in conventional pet food.”

He added that BOM BOM’s approach combines data, engineering, and food science to deliver precision nutrition at an unmatched level. The company’s meals are designed to address specific health conditions and adapt to pets’ changing needs, improving both quality of life and longevity.

BOM BOM has also attracted backing from notable shareholders, including the President of LVMH Korea, the Principal of L Catterton Korea, and Orion’s Bridge Capital, underscoring its strong strategic support in both consumer and investment circles.

Founded in 2017 in Singapore, BOM BOM has built its reputation as a leader in pet nutrition technology. Operating through a direct-to-consumer model, it serves a fast-growing base in Singapore and Korea with meals that are algorithmically formulated, NRC-compliant, and free from the need for supplements. The company stated that its customized approach has already helped thousands of pets overcome chronic health issues.
