Indonesian e-commerce major Bukalapak has announced the appointment of Willix Halim as acting interim CEO following the stepping down of Rachmat Kaimuddin.
In a statement, Bukalapak said Halim will be acting interim CEO during the transition period and in the absence of Kaimuddin, until the conclusion of the proposed Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders ratifying and confirming the resignation of Kaimuddin as president director of the company and to appoint the new president director.
Teddy Oetomo and Natalia Firmansyah will remain as directors of Bukalapak as per the announcement.
Bukalapak received the resignation letter from Kaimuddin on December 28th, 2021 to serve the country by working for the government.
Willix joined Bukalapak as Chief Operating Officer in 2016. Previously, he was Senior Vice President Growth for Freelancer.com, one of the biggest startups in Australia.
Willix received a degree in Computer Science and Mechatronics with First Class Honors in 2009 from the University of Melbourne.
While serving as acting – interim CEO, Willix will be responsible for the company’s operational activities in general as well as ensuring Bukalapak will continue its mission in creating a Fair Economy For All.
