Asian food delivery platform Hungry Panda announced its recent acquisition of Australian food delivery platform EASI and New Zealand Asian food delivery platform [email protected]
These two deals will assist HungryPanda expand its local operations, allow operators to achieve greater commercial success and improve consumer experience by widening their choice of authentic Asian restaurants.
These agreements, which follow HungryPanda’s successful US$130 million investment raise in December 2021, position the company well to seize the massive overseas Asian food delivery market globally.
Founder and CEO of HungryPanda, Kelu Liu said these acquisitions are an important milestone for the company as it continues to build the leading overseas Asian food delivery platform.
“By combining our world-class technology and delivery network with the wider coverage of restaurants we can now offer consumers, I am hugely excited about the future potential for our business in these important markets,” Liu added.
HungryPanda, which was founded in 2017, has grown to become the largest Asian food delivery platform in ten countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, with over sixty locations.
HungryPanda is now the Asian food delivery leader in Australia and New Zealand, offering clients the widest selection of authentic Asian food in all of the major cities.
Liu continued that improving the local Asian food delivery service is only the first step for them as they are “committed to introducing a complete Asian fresh food and grocery delivery service, as well as adding local merchants’ activities and targeted discounts for their customers, with the goal of establishing a comprehensive one-stop lifestyle service for overseas Chinese and local residents interested in Asian food culture.”
Kitty Lu, National Operations Manager at EASI, explained, that this strategic alliance will increase their effectiveness and reach in a busy marketplace, both regionally and internationally.
EASI, Lu added, has been growing nationally at a rapid pace since their launch in Australia and internationally, and they are excited by the potential they can achieving in working with the HungryPanda team.
