GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids are the latest additions to Gojek’s service offerings in Singapore. This also builds on the company’s commitment to expand its suite of offerings and strengthen user experience for both its driver-partners and the consumers.

“We are excited to kickstart 2023 with a new service offering – GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids. Families travelling with young children have often requested this feature for greater safety and convenience, and it also allows driver-partners additional earnings opportunities as well, said Lien Choong Luen, General Manager of Gojek Singapore.

All of the vehicles that are enrolled under Gojek’s new transport offerings will come equipped with one child seat for children who are 1m to 1.35m in height.

Rides booked using GoCar Kids will be accommodate three adults and one child, while those booked with GoCar XL Kids will take larger groups of up to five adults and one child.

Wanting to ensure optimal safety when travelling with children, driver-partners who complete trips under Gojek’s two service types will have a minimum rating of 4.6 stars.

They will also be made to undergo online training and verification to make sure that they are equip with relevant knowledge on how to install a child seat in compliance with Gojek’s requirements.

All of the child seats that are used in GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids services should come from a Gojek-approved brand that also meet one or more of the standards approved by the Traffic Police 2. This is the company’s way of giving its consumers complete peace of mind when travelling with Gojek.

The launch of GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids is also expected to bring increased earning opportunities for Gojek’s driver-partners.

Both service types will give driver-partners greater flexibility to take on more trips from passengers who are travelling with children. An additional fixed fee of S$2 is applied on top of the usual GoCar and GoCar XL rates.

The collection of other fees, including the platform and driver’s fees and service fees will also remain.

Luen said the launch of their two new services is expected to set the tone for more exciting things to come. With more people taking rides again, Gojek promises to continue to maintain its strong focus on service quality and what the riders need in order to be sustainable and successful in Singapore in the long-term.

The launch of GoCar Kids and GoCar XL Kids was scheduled following the introduction of recent changes to improve user experience for consumers and driver-partners, including the launch of GoCar Premium, GoCorp and GoCar XL, among others. GoCar Kids and GoCar
