GBSA Hosts an Online Meeting Event with Global VC for Innovative Startups in Pangyo on September 8 : “Pangyo x Silicon Valley: Bridging Innovations”

Gyeonggi-do Business and Science Accelerator (CEO Kang Sung-cheon) is holding an online event to match global venture capital firms with innovative startup companies in Pangyo. The event is called “Pangyo x Silicon Valley: Bridging Innovations” and will be held on Friday, September 8th at the Gyeonggi Creative Center for Economy and Innovation building.

This event is aimed at innovative startup companies in Pangyo Techno Valley and is designed to help them hold one-on-one business meetings for IR, to attract investment from global VCs. This event will also help startup companies enter the global market, gain marketing information, and network with other companies. ANDOPEN (CEO Lee Jun-gu), a decentralized facial recognition security solution, Brain Ventures (CEO Kim Won-hoe), an AI natural language processing specialist company, Fairy (CEO Jang Amy), an online behavior-based CRM marketing solution developer, as well as Sue Hsu of Amino Capital, Sunny Midha of Principia Growth, and Catherine Seo of IndieBio are participating in the event.

In addition, GBSA plans to help Korean startups enter the global market by collaborating with global VC firms. Jung Hyun-wook, CEO of startup media company beSUCCESS, will moderate the event, and a discussion session will be held to find ways to promote cooperation between Pangyo Techno Valley and other international startup techno valleys.

Kang Sung-cheon, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Province Economic and Science Accelerator, said, “We hope that during this event, startup companies in Pangyo will network with various global VCs, find opportunities to advance into the global market, and receive information on how to be successful in the global market”. He added, “GBSA will continue to actively support innovative startups in Pangyo so that they can expand their business in the global market”.

GBSA actively supports and promotes innovative startup companies in Pangyo. It covers and interviews startup companies, distributes articles about these companies in English, and even produces video content about them. Any company in 1st and 2nd Pangyo Techno Valley can benefit from these support programs.
