F&B technology platform Chope announced that it has invested S$1 million into F&B digital payments provider Getz Group.

This partnership, according to Chope, fuels its vision to build a comprehensive F&B platform for both diners and the restaurant industry by enabling diners to order and pay at restaurants across Singapore with just their Chope app.

Singapore-based Getz is an ordering solution for F&B merchants that powers Online food delivery, In-store table ordering solutions, Point of Sales systems and more.

Together withChope’s offerings, both the firms can now provide end-to-end modules covering all aspects of an F&B merchant’s needs. Getz is the only F&B solution company in the region that has payment certifications (i.e. PCI DSS) and payment licences (i.e MAS PSA exemptions).

The payment certification enables restaurant partners to make settlements in-house without a third-party and in T+2 days (two days after transaction), bettering industry standards.

With tens of millions of dollars in mobile payments processed through Getz’s systems and similarly, diners seated at restaurants on Chope’s network per year, this strategic pairing signals a new standard within the F&B digital solutions and servicing space.

Both companies are actively working together with restaurant partners to cater to new customer behaviours through a consolidation of touchpoints across the diner journey such as discovery, restaurant marketing, ordering for on-premise, pick-up and delivery, among others.

“Chope and Getz bring together the best of both worlds for the F&B business to connect diners to restaurants and vice versa. The result of this partnership will empower F&B businesses to take control of its digital transformation while leveraging incremental traffic driven by Chope, a leading platform that makes dining easy for its users,” said Getz Group founder and CEO Steve Wah.

Founded in 2011 and currently in seven cities (Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Shanghai, Bali, and Jakarta), Chope has grown consistently over the past 10 years. Powering this growth is Chope’s close relationships with top restaurant partners, which include Commonwealth Concepts, JUMBO Group, Soho Hospitality, Lost Heaven, Dining Concepts, Hospitality Management Asia, Ismaya Group, and The Union Group.

Chope’s ecosystem is further enriched by key partnerships with the likes of Alipay, Google, TripAdvisor, Meituan Dianping, DBS, and CapitaLand.
