Mobee, a newly registered digital asset exchange, has launched in Indonesia, offering a range of financial products for qualified investors, family offices, and institutional-grade clients seeking passive income and wealth management products designed for active investors.

Co-founded by Andrew Tjahyadikarta, a visionary entrepreneur, and Jeff Pradana, an experienced banking and trading executive, the platform is the first to focus on qualified investors in Indonesia.

The company aims to bring key players and businesses in Indonesia on-chain and provide them with a high level of service, trust, and security as they begin to allocate more capital to digital assets.

Mobee has obtained its license from Indonesia’s regulatory body for trading digital assets, BAPPEBTI.

The Indonesia cryptocurrency market surged 50% in 2022, reaching nearly 17 million registered cryptocurrency users, according to the regulator. Mobee projects Indonesian crypto annual trading volume to reach over $100 billion by the end of 2024.

Mobee has established relationships with leading companies in the digital assets industry, including a team of crypto natives and TradFi experts, to provide products that meet the highest standards in governance, risk management, compliance, and service execution.

The funding round for the exchange was led by leading Southeast Asia VC fund, 1982 Ventures, and strategic Indonesian family offices and individuals. The funds will be used to expand operations, launch new products, and hire more veterans from the financial services and digital asset industry.

According to Jeff Pradana, Co-Founder, and CIO of Mobee, Indonesia is set to become one of the main crypto hubs globally, and the framework the regulators have created provides confidence for investors to increase their exposure to digital assets.

Herston Powers, Founding Managing Partner of 1982 Ventures, stated that Mobee fills a massive gap in one of the fastest-growing segments in financial services in Indonesia, adding that Mobee is the only Indonesian licensed crypto exchange with the platform to serve the largest and most active investors with institutional-grade products.
