Deliver.sg, a Singaporean long-distance delivery platform under Maxima Logistics Pte Ltd, has completed the acquisition of BusyBee, an Indian Mobility Lifestyle Platform. The deal, valued at SGD 500,000, is part of Deliver.sg’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
BusyBee, founded by Arun Kumar in 2017, started as an on-demand courier service and has since evolved into a mobility lifestyle platform. The acquisition is expected to enhance Deliver.sg’s Delivery As A Service (DAAS) model to contribute to the company’s expansion efforts.
BusyBee has a network of over 1,800 delivery riders across 317 locations in South India and anticipates growth under the stewardship of Deliver.sg. The collaboration is set to capitalize on Deliver.sg’s technology and industry know-how, helping BusyBee’s operational efficiency and bottom line. With the backing of Maxima Logistics, BusyBee aims to expand its footprint to 1,000 locations by the year 2025.
The partnership with Deliver.sg’s Delivery as a Service (DAAS) model plans to streamline delivery operations and offer enhanced services to its customers. Leveraging the synergies between the two platforms, Deliver.sg aims to strengthen its foothold in the Asian and Middle Eastern markets while providing BusyBee with the resources and expertise needed to accelerate its growth trajectory.
Krishnamani Kannan, Co-founder & CEO of Deliver.sg, and Vice Chairman of SSACCI, emphasized the broader objectives of the partnership. “As we integrate BusyBee’s extensive network with the growth of HighRices and HomeRadius, our goals extend beyond geographical expansion. We’re fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and community building,” remarked Kannan.
Deliver.sg is broadening its scope through a SGD 250,000 investment in HighRices, a startup based in Tamil Nadu. Using a combination of share swap and equity funding, this investment aims to support the development of an Augmented Reality (AR) app and advanced technologies, with the objective of boosting smart restaurants globally.
Additionally, Deliver.sg has allocated an equal amount to HomeRadius, an app that simplifies the process of hiring home service professionals. With Deliver.sg’s backing, HomeRadius endeavors to modernize home management in Singapore and beyond, providing users with a user-friendly platform to connect with service providers.
In a separate development, Deliver.sg has invested $185K in “HighRices,” a Tamil Nadu-based startup, utilizing a mix of share swap and equity funding. Concurrently, it has committed $185K to HomeRadius, an app streamlining the process of hiring home service professionals.
