In an exclusive interview with AsiaTechDaily, Alina says:

I would say trust your gut and take care of your team’s and your own mental and overall health. Invest a lot in building a tight bond and trust within your organization – when everything breaks, which it will, only family-like relationships inside the team will help everyone power through things.

Read on to know more about Alina Trigubenko and her journey.

Alina Trigubenko

Please tell me about your personal background, and what are you working on currently?

Alina Trigubenko: Awarenow, a business management platform for the coaching and consulting organizations, is my full-time focus. We are helping to coach and asking companies to save their businesses by quickly establishing their businesses in the digital space with the help of our one-stop-shop platform. We have helped schools, yoga and meditation studios, health and wellness centers, medical clinics, and independent coaches quickly create and run scalable digital offerings. I’ve previously built and sold a chain of vending machines supporting local health food producers, produced projects such as www.airpano.com, documentaries, commercials, shows, product placement campaigns and sold to big networks (National Geographic, Discovery, BBC, etc.) and companies (Apple, Facebook, etc.).

How have you attracted users and grown your product from the start till now?

Alina Trigubenko: We’ve been growing organically before, via referrals and organic search. Due to the COVID-19 situation, people started finding out about us at a rapid pace via media publications and social media.

What’s your business model, and how have you grown your revenue? What strategy worked best?

Alina Trigubenko: We are a SaaS business – we have freemium, as well as paid plans, servicing both for solo practitioners and organizations (b2b2c model). We take a very personal approach to customers and invest a lot in customer success. We’ve been building this product for three years, and it sells because we genuinely care about the success rates, vs. focusing on the profits only.

What are some marketing tips to help maximize the success of a product launch?

Alina Trigubenko: Hire a cross-functional, diverse, and distributed team. Our team members are located across the globe and have a wide range of backgrounds that allows them to pitch in with great ideas and execute tasks around the clock. We have a fantastic Korean marketer – Joy Yoo, and she is incredibly smart, kind, forward-thinking, and crazy efficient.

What’s the hardest thing about product launches? And What is a good product launch checklist to be well prepared?

Alina Trigubenko: I am happy to share this asana board that we put together to launch on Product Hunt. In terms of a global product launch – for us, it is a top-notch, fully devoted team, great timing, and product.

How do you plan to expand globally?

Alina Trigubenko: We are servicing companies from across the globe – Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Russia and Mexico, and this is just the beginning. We love working with people from all over the world, tackling the same thing – helping people, and we are the tech enabler for them to maximize their impact.

What are the most common mistakes companies make with global marketing?

Alina Trigubenko: I don’t have enough information since all of my previous products were organically exploding across the borders, so I am not sure how to answer this question. Out of my experience – build a great product that is a painkiller, not a vitamin, nail positioning, and people will come.

How do you handle this COVID-19 outbreak situation for your company’s survival in the future?

Alina Trigubenko: 17-hour workdays, 7 days a week helping people save their businesses and revenue but moving them into digital swiftly. I couldn’t have imagined such an explosive growth without this sad cause. Everyone needs to be digitally native now, and there is no way back. We donate our platform to non-profit, mission-driven organizations and COVID-19 responders to help them scale their virtual consults, coaching, and programs that service groups that need help the most.

With my husband, Suren Avunjian, we built a direct-to-consumer laboratory testing portal TestDirectly to provide access to FDA-approved testing for COVID-19 via safe, drive-through sites across the US. We partnered with local laboratories and LigoLab, the most innovative and complete laboratory information system servicing the biggest labs in the world. Together, between these three companies, we are doing the best we can to assist people’s needs during these times.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? And What advice do you have for someone who is interested in doing similar things like yours or in a similar direction?

Alina Trigubenko: I would say trust your gut and take care of your team’s and your own mental and overall health. Invest a lot in building a tight bond and trust within your organization – when everything breaks, which it will, only family-like relationships inside the team will help everyone power through things.

What are the one or two things that you would do differently if you could go back to 10 years ago?

Alina Trigubenko: I would question myself less, have more compassion and patience.
