Indonesia’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider Mekari has acquired Desty, an omnichannel commerce platform that supports thousands of merchants in handling sales across multiple channels. The company plans to expand its capabilities in commerce solutions while enabling businesses to streamline operations and grow more efficiently.
Through the acquisition, Mekari plans to integrate Desty’s inventory, order, and customer management tools with its existing suite of financial, HR, and operational software. The combined offering is expected to give businesses a more seamless way to manage both back-office processes and customer-facing sales activities under one platform.
Mekari currently serves more than 35,000 businesses and over one million professionals across Indonesia. Its product suite includes HR and payroll solution Talenta, accounting software Jurnal, CRM platform Qontak, as well as Officeless, Expense, and Sign, creating a comprehensive cloud-based ecosystem for businesses of all sizes.
With the addition of Desty, Mekari is expanding into omnichannel commerce, enabling merchants to manage inventory, orders, products, warehouses, and customer interactions across both online and offline channels in a single system. This integration is designed to simplify business processes and reduce operational burdens, while seamlessly connecting with Mekari’s financial, HR, and operational tools.
“The integration of Desty into the Mekari ecosystem will help businesses reduce operational complexity. From inventory and finance to customer communications — everything can now be managed in one platform. The goal is simple: to make businesses more efficient so they can focus on growth,” said Suwandi Soh, CEO of Mekari.
For Desty users, the acquisition is expected to bring greater opportunities without disrupting existing services. “With Mekari’s ecosystem, our services will be stronger, more integrated, and provide access to new capabilities that were previously unavailable. Omnichannel is no longer optional — it’s a necessity,” said Dennis Harsono, CEO of the startup.
Founded in 2021, Desty has grown rapidly from its flagship product, Desty Page, to include Desty Store, Desty Chat, Desty POS, and Desty Omni. These solutions enable retailers and brands to operate seamlessly across e-commerce platforms, social media, and offline channels, thereby helping them create a unified customer experience.
By acquiring Desty, Mekari reinforces its position as Indonesia’s one-stop business solution provider, spanning HR, finance, tax, and now commerce. The company aims to support faster, more efficient, and sustainable growth for businesses, strengthening its role in the country’s digital transformation.
