A Delegation from the People’s Council of Hà Nam Province in Vietnam Visited Pangyo Techno Valley to Benchmark Startup Clusters

Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator (President Kang Sung-cheon, hereinafter referred to as GBSA) welcomed a delegation from the People’s Council of Hà Nam Province in Vietnam on November 1, introduced Pangyo Techno Valley, an exemplary case of a startup cluster, and discussed cooperation plans for benchmarking in Vietnam.

To strengthen friendly cooperation with Gyeonggi-do, 14 people, including Le Thi Thuy, Party Secretary of Hà Nam Province and Chairman of the People’s Council of Vietnam, visited institutions in Gyeonggi-do and held an investment briefing in Hà Nam Province.

Hànam Province chose to visit Pangyo Techno Valley to benchmark its support and nurturing of startups, and Gyeonggiwon introduced the office space of the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and the digital media within the Startup Campus building. Facilities such as the Digital Open Lab were introduced, and the investment system was explained.

Le Thi Thuy, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hà Nam Province and Chairman of the People’s Council, said, “Pangyo Techno Valley has a well-established business space for startups with innovative technologies. It is ready. We plan to develop Vietnam’s startup environment by supporting a similar space in Hà Nam Province. “I hope that public institutions supporting startups in Gyeonggi Province and various organizations in Hà Nam Province will continue to cooperate, exchange, and grow together in the future.”

Hà Nam Province is a city north of Hanoi, Vietnam. There are large temples and tourist complexes, and eight IT startup industrial complexes have been established in the city. At present, foreign direct investment (FDI) is actively taking place, and large Korean companies are also considering investing there. The visit of the delegation from the Hà Nam Provincial People’s Council was part of an exchange program that followed the signing of an exchange agreement between the Gyeonggi-do Provincial Council and the Hà Nam Provincial People’s Council in 2017.
