klikit, a Singapore-based startup that seeks to help Southeast Asian restaurants grow further, has just raised $2 million in pre-Seed funding, according to an announcement.

The funding round was co anchored by Wavemaker Partners and Global Founders Capital. Gentree Fund, AfterWork Ventures, Reshape Ventures, Nordstar, Pentas Ventures, and a number of angel investors also participated.

The startup was founded in 2021 by Christopher Withers, who most recently was vice president of Marketplaces at Gojek. He also previously launched Uber Eats across Asia-Pacific and served chief strategy officer of Bangladesh’s top ride-hailing platform Pathao.

klikit’s cord product offering is a proprietary B2B software-as-a-service platform, klikit Cloud, which aggregates and analyses all of a restaurant’s food delivery orders on just one mobile device.

By aggregating all orders into one device, klikit helps restaurants save time, avoid manual errors, and increase efficiency. First months since its launch, the startup has serviced over $2.8 million in food delivery orders across 150 brands in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, as well as Taiwan and Australia.

“Running a restaurant or even an extra virtual brand now takes more time, more money, and new skillsets — restaurateurs need to figure out how to manage multiple social media accounts, effective ad campaigns, delivery device interoperability, and up to 30% fees on in-app marketing on delivery apps,” Withers said.

“When I turned to F&B software solutions, I was frustrated how all were not technically or financially supportive of kitchens’ true needs, so I started klikit. How could I develop a better product while also helping restaurants take back their power?” Withers added.

Since then, klikit has become part of the operational structure for restaurants and cloud kitchens, including the Bistro Group (the Philippine franchisee of TGI Fridays, Hard Rock Cafe, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc.), Flash Coffee, MadEats (YC S21), Wildflour Cafe & Bakery, Kraver’s Canteen, Just Kitchen, the Singaporean and Philippine markets of Max’s Group Inc. (the Philippine franchisee of Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice, Max’s Restaurant, etc.), and more.
