Rebee Health, a Singapore-based startup specializing in digital physiotherapy, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Malaysia’s 1337 Ventures via its seed-stage fund, 1337 Capital 1. The investment will help Rebee expand its AI-powered rehabilitation platform, which combines wearable sensor technology with intelligent patient monitoring.
With the fresh capital, Rebee plans to grow its presence across hospitals, clinics, and households, while advancing its AI-driven tools to improve patient engagement and recovery outcomes. The startup also aims to enhance data analytics for remote care, enabling healthcare providers to make more informed decisions and reduce treatment costs.
Rebee Health’s platform is designed to make physiotherapy more accessible and efficient by using wearable sensors that capture biomechanical data during rehabilitation exercises. This data is processed through a mobile application to guide patients in real-time, while healthcare professionals can monitor progress remotely via a dedicated web portal. The system aims to reduce the need for frequent in-person visits, easing the burden on both patients and healthcare providers.
The startup has facilitated over 15,000 remote physiotherapy sessions to date. According to the company, its technology could generate substantial savings for Singapore’s healthcare system, including an estimated US$86 million annually for day rehabilitation centers and over US$100 million for acute hospitals by minimizing face-to-face therapy sessions and improving hospital resource efficiency.
Founder Lincoln Dacy said the fresh capital from 1337 Ventures will help the company scale its solution and deepen its integration with healthcare institutions. He added that Rebee is also enhancing its AI-powered monitoring system to automate the rehabilitation process while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered design and experience.
As populations age globally, the need for scalable rehabilitation solutions is growing rapidly, particularly for chronic conditions and post-surgery recovery. Rebee aims to meet this demand with a data-driven platform that supports continuous, remote care while keeping costs manageable for healthcare systems.
1337 Ventures CEO and founding partner Bikesh Lakhmichand stated that Rebee’s solution addresses a critical gap in rehabilitation by enhancing access and outcomes through technology. He called the startup a “game-changer” in digital physiotherapy and emphasized its potential to ease systemic strain as healthcare demands increase across the region.
Rebee Health secured the funding through 1337 Capital 1, a seed-stage fund run by 1337 Ventures. The fund takes a sector-agnostic approach and is supported by experienced industry leaders, including Suresh Thiru, former COO of JobStreet, along with several successful startup founders.
Built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, 1337 Capital 1 aims to support early-stage startups with capital, mentorship, and strategic guidance. The fund focuses on enabling disruptive innovations across sectors by helping founders scale their ideas into impactful businesses.
